How To Setup Passcode On iPhone 6 or 6 Plus (Advance Passcode Tip)

Setting up a passcode with your iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus iPad or iPod Touch is a great way to keep your device secure. This process will work with older iOS devices as well. You can do this in three ways, a simple passcode, an advanced passcode or using Touch ID. If you would like to setup Touch ID Setup Touch ID for instruction. In this tutorial we will be going through the setup of a simple passcode and the advance pass code.

How To Setup Simple Passcode

  • Open the “Settings” application
  • Tap “Touch ID & Passcode” Or “Passcode” depending on your device
  • Tap “Turn Passcode On” and if prompted with anything just follow what you would like to do
  • Enter in a four digit passcode and then enter it again when prompted to confirm

How To Setup An Advance Passcode

  • Open the “Settings” application
  • Tap “Touch ID & Passcode” Or “Passcode” depending on your device
  • If prompted, enter in your simple passcode
  • Locate “Simple Passcode” and swipe it off to the left
  • If prompted, enter in your simple passcode again
  • Enter in your advance passcode by using the standard keyboard
  • Tap “Next” and enter in your advance passcode again
  • Tap “Done”
