When you first get the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6 Plus you may need to insert a sim card to activate the phone with your carrier. If that is the case then here are the steps you need to follow.
Instructions: Inserting The Sim Card In The iPhone 6 & 6 Plus
First you will need your sim card ejection tool which should be inside your iPhone box. If you can’t find it or misplaced the sim card ejection tool you can use a paper clip or a stud earring. You will also need a “Nano” Sim Card.
- Locate the sim card slot on the right side of your iPhone.
- Take the sim card ejection tool or a paperclip and insert it in the small hole
- Press firmly until the sim card trey pops open
- Pull out the trey and align your sim card in it so it fits flush
- Put the sim card and trey back into the slot and you have completed the process
A few things to note… Some people don’t realize they even have the sim card ejection tool because it gets caught in the paperwork of the iPhone packaging. Don’t be afraid to give it a little bit of force when pushing the sim card ejection tool into the iPhone. It can be tough the first time. I would also not recommend using anything with a pointy end such as a needle or safety pin.
