The iOS 6.1 jailbreak has been released and the tool, evasion is now available for Mac, Windows and Linux. The evasion tool will jailbreak any iOS devise that is running iOS 6 to 6.1 excluding the 3rd generation Apple tv. So if you have an iPhone including the iPhone 5, iPod Touch, iPad Mini, or an iPad you are good to go with the jailbreak. Before you get started with the jailbreak make sure your iOS device is updated to at least iOS 6. You also want to get your lighting or 30 pin charging cable ready, make sure your device does not have the pass lock set and backup your device.
- Download the evasi0n tool – http://bitly.com/11Cnyh8
- Open the evasi0n tool
- Plug your iOS device to your computer
- Click “Jailbreak”
- Be patient and let the jailbreak do it’s thing
- When prompted slide to unlock your device and tap the “Jailbreak” app once
After step 6 your iOS device will finish jailbreaking and you will be able to access Cydia. When you first open Cydia it may take a little time to load everything and you also may need to update a file in the changes tab.
